Gérald Berger has over 40 years of extensive banking experience, of which he spent 10 years working in the US. He is a certified banking specialist with Federal Diploma, is SAQ Certified Wealth Management Advisor and holds an MBA from LaSalle University in Philadelphia / Basle. He began his career with a classic commercial banking apprenticeship at Swiss Bank Corporation in Basle. Later he moved to Crédit Suisse as an internal auditor in Basle and New York. After that he worked for Bank Leu in New York and held the position of COO. Since 1994 he is working in Private Wealth Management as Client Advisor, of which he spent 17 years with Deutsche Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. as Managing Director and Co-Head of Private Wealth Management Germany. In this function he was advising clients from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Hong Kong. As a partner of Portas Capital Ltd., Gérald Berger advises international as well as Swiss private clients in financial matters.
